Gentrification, the artists’ plight, is a double edged sword. Granted it turns life inside out and upside down (and in the case of “Welcome”, on the bias) and makes it difficult to distinguish the crusty artist loft and the bourgeois dwelling…in which order? See through whose eyes? Chance, circumstance, or just the way our cities grow and evolve.
